Gaza and Palestine represent some of the oldest inhabited landscapes of the world. But Palestine and Gaza are no strangers to external control and indeed this is the source of the tenacity of the Palestinian people. The fact that it has hosted so many cultures and peoples stand as testament to its role as a Landscape of Peace throughout history. The preceding year of genocidal war on Gazan’s has brought us to consider a series of critical questions which expand on the idea of what a new landscape of peace could look like in Gaza. The key question is how we can make Gaza self-sufficient, resilient and safe for Gazan’s.

The Belt
Recessing climatic issues with made-belt-like form around the beach area of the beach club consisting of layered factors that help with adaptation and resisting incoming high waves and sea level rise. With stepping and stacking these platform belt form and adding an artificial beach barrier with planted mangroves to lessen water damage during storms.
